The US-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (USBCCI) recently organised an exclusive meet-and-greet networking session in New York, with Sheikh Jasim Uddin, managing director of AKIJ Resource, attending as the chief guest.
The event brought together business leaders, professionals and community representatives from the United States and Bangladesh, according to a press release.
Discussions focused on leadership, investment opportunities, sustainable development, and ways to strengthen bilateral trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. Participants exchanged views on mutual collaboration, reaffirming their commitment to future growth.
Speaking at the event, Sheikh Jasim Uddin outlined AKIJ Resource’s diversified industrial operations, global expansion plans and innovation-driven business strategy.
He also highlighted the group’s focus on sustainable and ethical business practices, as well as the long-standing partnership between the US and Bangladeshi business communities.
The programme was chaired by USBCCI President Md Liton Ahmed. Mohammad Towfique Hasan, chief business development officer of AKIJ Resource, and Shahriar Istiaq Halim, CEO of AKIJ Consulting, also addressed the session.
