Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC organised its Annual Business Conference 2026 on 17 January at a resort in Gazipur, bringing together board members, senior management and branch leaders to review performance and set business priorities for the year ahead.

The conference was presided over by Managing Director Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, while Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors Mohammed Younus attended as chief guest.

Directors Md Sanaullah Shahid, Akkas Uddin Mollah, Khandaker Shakib Ahmed and Fakir Akhtaruzzaman were present at the programme, along with Shariah Supervisory Committee member Mufti Abdullah Masum.

Additional Managing Director Imtiaz U Ahmed and Deputy Managing Directors Rashed Sarwar, M M Saiful Islam and Md Jafar Sadeq FCA took part in the conference and addressed the sessions.

Deputy Managing Director Md Jafar Sadeq FCA presented a detailed review of the bank’s overall performance in 2025, outlining key achievements and operational outcomes from the previous year.

Heads of different divisions from the corporate head office, senior executives and branch managers from across the country also participated in the business conference.

The programme was moderated by SEVP and Company Secretary Md Abul Bashar and SEVP and Head of Investment Monitoring Division Rumana Kutubuddin.

During the meeting, participants evaluated the bank’s performance in the past year and adopted strategies and action plans to achieve business targets for the coming period.

As part of the conference, branch managers and corporate head office executives were recognised with awards in different categories for outstanding performance.
