As winter approaches and the first signs of snow appear across Canada, the celebrations of Kali Puja and Diwali have brought warmth and light to the hearts of devotees, dispelling the season’s darkness.

Organised by the Saskatoon Sarvajanin Puja Parishad in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the festive venue came alive with the spontaneous participation of men, women, and children of all ages – transforming the space into a little corner of Bangladesh.

Although many cannot set foot on their homeland, devotees gathered at the puja mandap to pray for the peace and prosperity of their country and for the well-being of people around the world.

Through dance, music, and cultural performances, the rich history, traditions, and culture of Bengalis were beautifully presented to the younger generation.

The organisers expressed their hope that the days ahead will be filled with light, dispelling all darkness and sorrow.
