Md Sanaullah Shahid has been unanimously elected Chairman of the Executive Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC during the 404th meeting of the Board of Directors held in Dhaka. At the same meeting, Khandaker Sakib Ahmed was elected Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee.

Sanaullah Shahid, a sponsor shareholder of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, currently serves as Vice-Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Ltd. He began his business career after completing a bachelor’s degree and brings over three decades of experience in the electronic home appliance sector.

Shahid is Chairman of Electra International Limited, and Director of Electra Consumer Electronics Industries Ltd, Electra Mobile Ltd, Electra Holding Ltd, and Electra Industries Ltd. He is also a partner in Electra International, Electra Mobile, Electra Furniture, Kashmir Chemical Company, Sazawa Brothers, and Jalshiri Dairy Farm & Fishery. He has travelled extensively for business engagements.

Khandaker Sakib Ahmed, born in 1975 in Dhaka district, is also a sponsor and Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. He holds an MBA and has similarly accumulated over 30 years of experience in trade and industry.

Ahmed is Chairman of Own the World Company Ltd, Own the World Hajj & Umrah Ltd, and Intech Ltd. He also serves as Director of Aqua Consultants & Associates Ltd and is a sponsor of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Ltd. Additionally, he is a shareholder of Millennium Information Solution Ltd and a partner at Innovio IT.

Beyond business, he is active in education and community development. Ahmed is a member of the governing body of Eastern University and Al-Azhar International Grammar School, as well as a Director at Hurdco International School. He also oversees Mizbahul Uloom Model Madrasa in Panchdona, Narsingdi, and holds honorary membership at Banani Rotary Club. Like Shahid, he has travelled internationally for business.
