Sammilito Islami Bank has decided to allow individual depositors to withdraw funds from Al-Wadi’ah Current Accounts, Mudaraba Savings Accounts and Mudaraba Term Deposits from 1 September, in line with Bangladesh Bank instructions.
The decision came at the 11th board meeting held on Tuesday at the bank’s corporate office in Dhaka, said a press release.
Chairman Quazi Shairul Hassan presided over the meeting. Directors and senior officials including Law and Justice Parliamentary Affairs Secretary Hafiz Ahmed Chowdhury, Economic Relations Secretary Shahriar Kader Siddiky, Finance Division Joint Secretary Rashedul Amin, Financial Institutions Division Joint Secretary Sheikh Farid, and Managing Director Abedur Rahman Sikder attended.
The meeting approved several investment proposals and directed the management to take initiatives for regularising banking services.
