Karan Johar is set to return with the ninth season of Koffee With Karan, and Salman Khan is reportedly lined up as the first guest on the premiere episode.
According to Variety India, the new season is scheduled to begin streaming around October-November 2026, coinciding with the Diwali festive period.
The report also states that Salman has confirmed his presence to Johar and is expected to appear on the famous couch alone.
If confirmed, this would mark Salman’s first solo appearance on Koffee With Karan.
The actor has previously appeared on the show twice — alongside his father Salim Khan in season 4 and with his brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan in season 5.
Salman’s return comes after a long gap, with his previous appearances remembered for his candid and often controversial remarks.
His solo appearance could therefore bring a different dynamic to the premiere episode.
While several celebrity names have been circulating as potential guests for season 9, the reported guest list remains largely unconfirmed.
The makers have yet to officially announce the full lineup.
The upcoming season will mark the talk show’s return after its eighth season, which aired in 2024.
Johar had previously confirmed that Koffee With Karan would return around Diwali this year.
