Mohamed Salah has completed a high-profile move to Turkish side Trabzonspor after signing a contract worth €17 million per season, the club confirmed on Thursday.
The deal was officially announced through Trabzonspor’s publicly listed football subsidiary in a regulatory filing submitted to Borsa Istanbul and published on Türkiye’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The agreement brings one of world football’s biggest names to the Turkish Super Lig in what is expected to be one of the competition’s most significant transfers.
According to the filing, Salah will earn a fixed annual salary of €10 million. In addition, the Egyptian forward will receive a €7 million signing payment for each season covered by the contract, taking his guaranteed yearly earnings to €17 million.
The agreement also includes performance-related bonuses. Trabzonspor did not reveal the value of those incentives or the conditions Salah must meet to receive them.
As part of the contract, Salah has secured a separate image rights arrangement with the club. He will receive 20 percent of the revenue generated from merchandise carrying his name and sold through Trabzonspor’s official retail company.
The club also confirmed that it will pay an agency commission equal to five percent of Salah’s gross earnings under the agreement.
Earlier on Thursday, Trabzonspor announced that transfer negotiations had been completed and built excitement among supporters by releasing a video of Salah travelling in the club’s colours. Wearing Trabzonspor’s famous claret and blue shirt with the No. 61 on board a plane, the Egyptian addressed fans directly.
“Trabzon, are you ready? I can hear you. See you very soon. Everywhere is Trabzon,” Salah said, repeating a slogan closely associated with the Black Sea club.
