SAFF held an official press conference today ahead of the SAFF Futsal Championship 2026. Head coaches and players from participating teams shared their views on the upcoming tournament. Bangladesh national futsal team head coach Saeed Khodarahimi and captain Rahbar Wahed Khan were present at the event.
The head coach said the championship offers an important chance to grow futsal in South Asia. He said proper planning is key for progress. He highlighted the need for strong team building, better coaching standards, fair refereeing, and modern venues.
Khodarahimi also spoke about infrastructure development. He said futsal needs quality facilities to move forward. He expressed hope that Bangladesh will one day have an international standard futsal stadium.
Captain Rahbar Wahed Khan agreed with his coach. He said the team now plays with a clear collective plan. He added that understanding and confidence among the players have improved.
The captain said this unity gives the team belief. He said the current mindset allows people to expect positive results in the competition.
