A three-day international exhibition titled SAFE HVAC-R and Cold Chain 2026 began at International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka on Thursday, showcasing technologies and investment opportunities in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration and cold chain logistics.
The event was inaugurated by chief guest Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, adviser to the ministries of finance and planning, who said the government would take initiatives to simplify tax policies and regulatory frameworks to create a more investment-friendly environment.
He said equal opportunities would be ensured for local and foreign investors by reducing market irregularities and removing barriers to business, adding that Bangladesh has the potential to emerge as a leading destination for international investment.
Titumir said while Vietnam and Indonesia currently remain ahead as major investment hubs, Bangladesh is expected to strengthen its position as an attractive destination in the coming years.
He urged foreign investors, including those from Turkey, to explore investment opportunities in Bangladesh and support the country’s industrial expansion.
