Bangladesh and West Indies are currently locked in a thrilling home ODI series, tied at 1-1 after two matches. Among the standout performers is leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, whose all-round display has earned him a significant boost in the ICC ODI rankings.

In the second ODI held at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday, Rishad impressed with both bat and ball. He smashed 39 runs off just 14 balls, hitting three fours and three sixes. With the ball, he returned figures of 3 for 42 in 10 overs, the best for Bangladesh in the match.

In the first ODI, Rishad had already made an impact, scoring 26 runs off 13 deliveries and claiming a career-best 6 wickets for 35 runs. His consistent performance has been rewarded with a 65-place rise in the ODI bowling rankings, placing him at 68th with a career-high 430 rating points. In the all-rounder rankings, he jumped 87 places to 37th with 151 points, another career-best.

In the batting department, Towhid Hridoy climbed seven places to reach 35th, while Miraz and Soumya Sarkar moved up to 63rd and 86th respectively. On the other hand, Zakir Hasan slipped three places to 78th and Litton Das, sidelined with injury, dropped seven spots to 91st.

At the top of the ODI rankings, Shubman Gill, Ibrahim Zadran and Rohit Sharma lead among batters. Rashid Khan, Keshav Maharaj and Maheesh Theekshana are the top bowlers, while Azmatullah Omarzai, Sikandar Raza and Mohammad Nabi dominate the all-rounder list.
