Two customers of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC have received motorcycles under a remittance incentive campaign run in partnership with Ria Money Transfer, as the bank continued its Ramadan-linked drive to boost inward flows, said in a press release.
Cumilla Nangalkot Branch customer Main Uddin secured the 19th motorcycle, while Feni Branch Selfin customer Md Ziaul Haque received the 20th prize, according to the bank.
The awards were linked to remittance inflows, with Main Uddin qualifying against funds sent by US-based expatriate Nasir Uddin, and Md Ziaul Haque receiving his prize against remittance sent by South Africa-based Mohammad Mominul Haque.
The prizes were distributed through a digital raffle draw held at Islami Bank Tower on Sunday, where Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC Managing Director Md Omar Faruk Khan attended as chief guest.
Also present at the event were Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC Deputy Managing Director Md Rafiqul Islam, Foreign Remittance Services Division Head Md Motaher Hossain Mollah, Overseas Banking Division Head Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Foreign Trade Processing Division Head Md Daud Khan, Ria Money Transfer Bangladesh Country Manager Rashedul Islam Talukder, and Assistant Operations Manager Md Arafat Hossain.
The campaign was launched during Ramadan, with Islami Bank offering motorcycles to cash remittance recipients through daily digital raffle draws on each banking working day from Sunday to Thursday.
In total, 20 motorcycles were distributed as part of the initiative, aimed at encouraging formal remittance channels and strengthening inflows through the banking system.
