The state-appointed defence lawyer in the Ramisa Akter rape and murder case, Musa Kalimullah has expressed satisfaction after the court sentenced accused Sohel Rana and his wife Swapna Akhter to death.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Child Violence Suppression Tribunal delivered the verdict on Sunday, finding both accused guilty in the brutal murder case.
Reacting to the judgment, state-appointed defence lawyer Musa Kalimullah said, “Accused Sohel Rana had given a confessional statement and admitted his guilt during his deposition.”
He said the court delivered death sentences to both Sohel Rana and Swapna Akhter. He added that justice had been served.
“The criminals have received justice. I am satisfied,” Musa Kalimullah added.
