Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thundershowers in several parts of the country, including Dhaka, over the next 24 hours from 9am Tuesday.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds and lightning flashes are likely at a few places in Sylhet division and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, the Met office said in a bulletin.
Hailstorms may also occur at isolated places, it added.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country.
A trough of low pressure lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low persists over the South Bay.
