Prime Bank PLC will fund prosthetic and orthotic devices, rehabilitation services and essential care for persons with disabilities from disadvantaged communities under a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) recently.

The support will also cover multidisciplinary rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and mental health care.

The agreement was signed Prime Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka by Prime Bank Additional MD and Chief Risk Officer Md Ziaur Rahman and CRP Bangladesh Founder Valerie A Taylor on behalf of their respective organisations.

The initiative will be implemented over one year. CRP will be responsible for delivering services in accordance with established professional and medical standards. Prime Bank will monitor the programme through structured reporting, periodic reviews and impact assessment, said a press release on Monday.

Md Ziaur Rahman said, “For us, this initiative is about more than financial support- it is about restoring dignity, independence and hope to individuals living with disabilities.”
