Dhaka Range DIG Rezaul Karim Mallick – recently promoted to the rank of additional IGP – has directed unit heads to play a more effective role in crime suppression and control across districts under the range.
Presiding over the monthly crime review meeting on Monday, he reviewed various crimes committed within the Dhaka Range during the month of May.
The session, held at the conference room of the Range DIG office in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, focused on several key operational goals. During the meeting, specific directives were issued to improve the overall crime prevention, ensure the provision of rapid services, increase digital monitoring, and bring more pace to integrated operations.
The meeting was attended by RRF Commandant (Additional DIG) Rumana Akter, Additional DIG (Admin and Finance) MA Jalil, Additional DIG (Crime Management) Md Saifuzzaman Faruqui, and Additional DIG (Operations) Md Siddiqur Rahman.
Also in attendance were the Commandant of the In-Service Training Centre in Tangail, Md Imamur Rashid, and Police Super Traffic Management (promoted to Additional DIG) Mohammad Sulaiman.
Other senior officials, Superintendents of Police (SPs), and representatives from the 13 districts under the Dhaka Range were also present at the venue. Furthermore, all Circle Officers and Officers-in-Charge (OCs) from across the range joined the proceedings virtually via the Zoom platform.
