A police constable died while performing his duty in Khulna early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Constable Samrat Biswas.
The incident took place around 4:30am at magazine guard in Khulna Railway Police Lines, said Ahmed Mainul Hasan, acting superintendent of railway police in Khulna.
According to locals, Samrat’s wife, Puja Biswas, is also a member of the police force and is serving in Satkhira.
The authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of his death.
Authorities said the incident is being investigated.
