Prime Minister and Leader of the House Tarique Rahman chaired a crucial meeting of the ruling party’s parliamentary members on Saturday to accelerate the activities of the National Parliament.
The meeting was held at 4pm at the ruling party’s meeting room in the Parliament Secretariat, with lawmakers in attendance.
During the meeting, the prime minister delivered a directive speech to the members of parliament, outlining the government’s priorities and expectations.
At the outset, the lawmakers joined a special prayer seeking forgiveness for the soul of Dilara Hafiz, wife of National Parliament Speaker Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, who recently passed away.
The meeting discussed a range of issues, including the government’s ongoing programmes, the current political situation, legislative activities, and future action plans, according to official sources.
The gathering aimed to ensure coordination among ruling party lawmakers and expedite parliamentary business as the 13th National Parliament continues its proceedings.
