TishCAN has successfully hosted a fundraising event titled ‘Pink Carnival’ from September 19 to September 20. It was a vibrant fundraising charity fair dedicated to supporting the patients fighting breast cancer.
The event took place from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, at Pink Terrace, Road 63, Gulshan 2. TishCAN started back in 2023 with the mission of supporting people fighting breast cancer.
“I am a breast cancer survivor- I battled it for a very long time. That is how the idea of founding TishCAN occurred to me. It was founded with this very purpose of standing with people fighting breast cancer and building a community that will help each other out,” said Nuzhat Tarannum, the founder of TishCAN.
They partnered up with Kazi Farms Kitchen as their title sponsor for the ‘Pink Carnival’ event. The fair displayed a wide variety of donated items which were contributed by individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners and brands like Gootipa.
Besides the fair, the event also presented various food stalls, including tea, coffee, traditional sweets, cotton candies and a Kazi Farms Kitchen stall. Visitors also enjoyed the unique, pink-themed décor and aesthetic of the whole event. The dress code for the event was pink as well. It felt like a celebration of unity, hope and community spirit.
“The Pink Carnival was not just about raising funds though- it was also about raising awareness, building solidarity, and showing our warriors that they are never alone in their journey,” said Nuzhat.
The funds raised from the carnival will directly support breast cancer patients, helping with treatment, wellness initiatives, and awareness programs. Through this initiative, TishCAN continues to strengthen its mission of creating a circle of support and compassion for those affected by breast cancer.
“We have already held a few of these fund-raising events. There are generous individuals, brands, entrepreneurs and our sponsor (Kazi Farms Kitchen), who donate various items to us. We put these in the fair and all the money that we raise from selling them, we give it all to a breast cancer patient,” said Nuzhat.
Beyond the numbers, the real triumph is seen in the circle of hope and solidarity that is created. Events like the Pink Carnival serve as a reminder that no one is left to fight alone, and through collective effort, compassion is transformed into meaningful change.
