Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Japan’s Yamanashi University to foster academic cooperation and offer research opportunities.
The MoU was signed on Sunday at PUST’s virtual classroom.
The agreement was signed by PUST Vice Chancellor Professor Dr S M Abdul-Awal and Yamanashi University Vice President Professor Dr Masanori Hanawa.
This collaboration aims to strengthen educational ties between the two institutions, with PUST students having the opportunity to receive MEXT scholarships for higher education in Japan.
The scholarship recipients will be exposed to advanced technologies and research, while gaining invaluable academic experience.
In his remarks, VC Abdul-Awal highlighted the university’s commitment to creating intellectual leaders and making PUST and Pabna known globally.
Professor Dr Masanori Hanawa said the collaboration will focus on education, research, and resource development, leading to a long-lasting partnership between the two universities.
A discussion session titled ‘Research Opportunities Between PUST and Yamanashi University, Japan’ was also held, with Professor Dr Masanori Hanawa as the resource person.
The session was attended by faculty members and students from various departments, marking the beginning of an exciting academic collaboration.
