Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) has organised the Career Development Programme 2026 under its Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), with active participation from students.
The programme aimed to provide career guidance, real-world industry exposure and professional skill development to help students prepare for future-ready careers, according to a press release.
The event was powered by Alpha Net, an enterprise cloud and technology solutions provider. Professor Md Mizanur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of NUB, attended the programme as the chief guest.
The keynote address was delivered by Abu Sufian Haider, a Florida-based tech entrepreneur and community builder. Akramul Haider, chief executive officer of Alpha Net and founding chairman of Nova Foundation, spoke as a distinguished guest.
Faculty members, including Md Raihan-ul-Masood, associate professor and head of the Department of CSE, and Professor Dr Rubaiyat Yasmin, were also present.
In his address, the vice-chancellor stressed the importance of aligning academic learning with industry demands. He encouraged students to focus on continuous learning, problem-solving and ethical professionalism, highlighting innovation, adaptability and leadership as essential qualities for success in the global job market.
Keynote speaker Abu Sufian Haider shared his professional journey, emphasising the value of practical skills, resilience and entrepreneurial thinking. He urged students to embrace global collaboration and lifelong learning.
Akramul Haider discussed the growing demand for cloud computing and emerging technologies, advising students to remain updated and prioritise hands-on learning.
The programme concluded with appreciation for the speakers, organisers and participants, marking another step in NUB’s efforts to develop competent and future-ready professionals.
