Chief Returning Officer Professor Md Jasim Uddin on Tuesday said voting in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and hall union elections has so far been held peacefully, with no major irregularities reported.
“Students are casting their votes spontaneously and the overall atmosphere at polling centres remains calm,” he said.
He added that complaints received from two centres were addressed immediately, with one later found to be a misunderstanding.
Balloting will continue until 4:00pm at eight polling centres across the campus.
