The National Citizen Party (NCP) will announce the names of 100 candidates for upazila chairman and municipal mayor posts in the second phase on 15 June, said Sarjis Alam, the party’s chief organiser for the northern region.
Sarjis disclosed the information through a post on his Facebook profile on Tuesday afternoon.
According to party sources, the list will include potential candidates for local government positions. The move is seen as part of the party’s efforts to further advance its preparation for the upcoming local government elections.
