A sponsor director of NCC Bank Limited has announced plans to sell 50 lakh shares through the stock market shortly after the lender reported improved earnings for the first quarter of 2026.
In a disclosure on Tuesday, sponsor Sohela Hossain said she will sell 50 lakh shares out of her total holding of 2.86 crore shares at prevailing market prices through both the public and block markets of the Dhaka Stock Exchange within the next 30 working days.
The announcement came days after NCC Bank released its January–March 2026 financial results on Sunday, showing higher profitability compared with the same period a year earlier.
The bank reported consolidated earnings per share of Tk 1.11 for the first quarter of 2026, up from Tk 0.94 in the corresponding period of 2025.
Consolidated net asset value per share rose to Tk 28.41 at the end of March, compared with Tk 25.38 a year earlier.
