NCC Bank PLC, as part of its corporate social responsibility, has donated 1,000 umbrellas to members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The donation was recently handed over by NCC Bank Chairman Md Nurun Newaz Selim to Dr Nasimul Gani, senior secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, at an event at the ministry.
The event was attended by NCC Bank’s Deputy Managing Director Md Zakir Anam and Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications Md Anwar Hossain.
Gani expressed gratitude to NCC Bank for this noble initiative and hoped that other corporate organisations would contribute more towards social responsibility activities.
Md Nurun Newaz Selim, chairman of NCC Bank, stated that since its inception, the bank has been involved in socioeconomic development beyond banking services.
He highlighted that the bank is not only focused on making profits but is also committed to helping people across various sectors, including education, healthcare, and agriculture.
The donation of 1,000 umbrellas to DMP officers is a part of this continued commitment to social welfare. He assured that such initiatives by NCC Bank will continue in the future.
