The government has cancelled the gazette notification announcing the winners of the National Film Awards 2023, which was published on January 29, and issued a revised list of award recipients.
The new gazette, signed by Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farzana, was published on June 2.
According to the revised notification, awards have been announced in 28 categories, honouring 32 films and artistes.
In the Lifetime Achievement category, actress Jharna Basak (Shabnam) and film editor Fazle Haque have been added alongside late filmmaker Tareque Masud and late cinematographer-director Abdul Latif Bachchu.
