National Feed Mill Ltd slipped into a loss in the second quarter of FY26 as weaker sales eroded profitability, while lower receivable collections also weighed on operating cash flow.
The listed feed manufacturer reported a loss per share of Tk0.03 for the October-December quarter, compared with earnings per share of Tk0.14 in the same period a year earlier.
For the first six months of FY26, the company posted a loss per share of Tk0.11, widening slightly from a loss of Tk0.10 in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
National Feed attributed the quarterly loss to lower revenue during the second quarter, saying declining sales reduced earnings compared with the same period last year.
Net operating cash flow per share fell to Tk0.01 in July-December 2025 from Tk0.05 a year earlier as collections from receivables weakened during the period, the company said.
Net asset value per share also edged down to Tk10.98 as of 31 December 2025 from Tk11.09 at the end of June, reflecting the impact of continued losses.
Investors reacted negatively to the earnings announcement, with National Feed shares falling 1.92 per cent to close at Tk20.40 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday.
