A new song titled ‘Neta Asche’ has been released to mark the return of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman to Bangladesh after 17 years on December 25, with his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman and daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman, bringing a strong political moment into the cultural spotlight.

The song is performed by popular singer Nazmun Munira Nancy, alongside Salman Raj. Lyrics have been written by Palak Hasan Sumon, with music arranged by AN Farhad. Filmmaker Helal Khan oversaw and supervised the project.

Released on the official BNP social media pages and YouTube, the song quickly gained traction among party supporters. Its lyrics frame Tarique Rahman’s homecoming in poetic terms, describing it as the return of a “child of the sun” to his homeland and people.

Cultural wing Bangladesh Nationalist Social and Cultural Organisation, known as JASAS, said the song aims to reflect the widespread excitement surrounding Rahman’s return within the cultural sphere. According to the organisation, Neta Asche is intended as both a musical tribute and a symbolic expression of the moment.
