Only two players from Bangladesh have made the final shortlist for The Hundred 2026 auction. Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hossain are the only Bangladeshi names in the official list.
Earlier, 23 players from Bangladesh had signed up for the tournament. But most of them did not make the final cut. The organizers have shortlisted 243 players for the auction. The event will take place on March 12.
Joe Root, James Vince, Jonny Bairstow, Adil Rashid and Jordan Cox are in the local marquee group. The overseas marquee group includes Haris Rauf, Aiden Markram, Sunil Narine, David Miller and Daryl Mitchell.
This will be the first time the tournament will use an auction system. In the past, teams picked players through a draft. The competition will run from July 21 to August 16.
No player from Bangladesh has played in The Hundred since it started in 2021. Mustafizur and Rishad now have a chance to change that this year.
