Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain Saikat is hoping to deliver another strong performance as he prepares for the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo.
Bangladesh, who lost the one-off Test and ODI series during their Zimbabwe tour, will begin the T20I series on July 15. Mosaddek is expecting more from himself after making a successful international comeback in the ODI series against Australia.
The all-rounder returned to international cricket after four years and was named Player of the Series for his match-winning performances. He has now been included in the T20I squad, having last played in the format in 2022.
“Expectations from myself are very high. The comeback series went well, but I could not perform in the next two matches. From there, I expect more from myself. I have to perform better, play according to the team’s needs and help the team win,” Mosaddek said in a BCB video message.
The all-rounder also highlighted the difference in conditions between Harare, where Bangladesh played their Test and ODIs, and Bulawayo, the venue for the T20I series.
“The conditions here are a bit different from Harare. The wind is stronger here,” he added.
