Popular singer Monir Khan has achieved a new milestone in his career, becoming the first Bangladeshi solo singer to reach 3 million subscribers on an official YouTube channel.
The Anjana singer launched his official YouTube channel in 2016, with the first video uploaded on 14 June that year.
Over the past decade, the channel has featured many of his popular songs from across his career, alongside regularly released new audio and video tracks.
Ten years after its launch, the channel has crossed the 3 million subscriber mark, marking a significant achievement for the singer and his digital presence.
The milestone was recently celebrated at a festive event held at the auditorium of the Music and Dance Building of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Segunbagicha, Dhaka.
The event featured a discussion titled The Role of Copyright in Protecting Intellectual Property and the Success of Monir Khan Official YouTube Channel, organised by CLAP Music Publishing and Pathway Online Development Limited.
Speaking about the achievement, Monir Khan expressed gratitude to his listeners and fans who have supported him throughout his career.
“First of all, I am deeply grateful to the Almighty. This achievement would not have been possible without the countless listeners and fans who have loved my songs for more than three decades,” he said.
“I have reached this position because of everyone’s love and collective efforts,” he added.
The achievement comes as another major milestone in Monir Khan’s more than three-decade career in music.
His official YouTube channel has provided audiences with access to both his classic songs and newer releases, helping his music reach a new generation of listeners.
