Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held a telephonic conversation with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving situation in West Asia and reviewed bilateral ties.
In a post on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi said that the leaders reviewed the progress of the India-Israel Strategic Partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening co-operation between the two countries, reports Times of India.
While the conversation also focused on the latest developments in West Asia, neither side disclosed specific details of the discussions or announced any new decisions.
Modi added that India and Israel continue to deepen their long-standing strategic partnership across multiple sectors.
The telephone call comes months after the Indian prime minister’s visit to Israel in late February 2026. Days after that trip, the United States and Israel launched military strikes on Iran, triggering a political debate in India, where opposition parties criticised the timing of the visit.
Neither New Delhi nor Tel Aviv released any further details regarding the latest conversation.
