Modhumoti Bank PLC convened the first meeting of its Shariah Supervisory Committee on July 12. The session was held at the bank’s Head Office located in Gulshan.
The meeting was presided over by Hafiz Mufti Saiful Islam, Chairman of the Bank’s Shariah Supervisory Committee. Other members of the committee, including Hafiz Mufti Zubair Abdullah and Mufti Abu Bakar Siddique Nabil, were also in attendance for the inaugural proceedings.
Representing the senior management of Modhumoti Bank were Md Shafiul Azam, Managing Director & CEO; Shahnawaj Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director; Arab Fazlur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer; and Arif Hasan Khan, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Risk Officer.
Key officials from the bank’s Islamic Banking Division also participated in the meeting, including R.M Sariful Islam, EVP & Head of Islamic Banking Division, and Nizam Uddin, AVP & Operational Head of Islamic Banking Division.
