BNP standing committee member and Prime Minister’s political adviser Mirza Abbas, currently undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital, was moved from the Critical Care Unit (ICU) to a cabin on Friday.

BNP Health Affairs Secretary Md Rafiqul Islam confirmed the development, stating that Abbas’s condition is showing signs of gradual improvement. He had been under intensive medical observation for 19 days following a complex brain surgery.

“I spoke with his wife, Afroza Abbas, this morning. His condition is improving, and he was moved from the ICU to a cabin earlier today,” Islam said. He further noted that doctors will now commence advanced physiotherapy in the cabin, although the veteran leader must remain under close medical supervision due to the intricate nature of his surgery.
