Global pop icon Miley Cyrus has joined the legendary filmmaker James Cameron’s epic ‘Avatar’ franchise. For the upcoming instalment, ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, Miley has written and performed an original song titled ‘Dream as One’.
Miley confirmed the news herself on social media, writing, “This song is very close to my heart. It’s more than just a soundtrack; it’s a form of healing. It tells the story of rising again from the rubble of life.”
She added, “James Cameron’s vision has deeply inspired me. His message, the sensitivity towards nature and humanity that runs through his films, is reflected in every word of this song.”
The song will play over the film’s end credits, expected to leave audiences deeply moved.
The song was co-written by Miley Cyrus, Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyat, an ensemble of acclaimed, award-winning artists and producers. Notably, Ronson and Wyatt also collaborated with Miley on her previous hits ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ and ‘Flowers’.
According to 20th Century Studios, Dream as One captures the film’s central themes of unity, rebirth and responsibility towards the environment.
The new chapter in James Cameron’s Avatar saga is set for release on December 19.
Like its predecessors, it will revisit the awe-inspiring world of Pandora, exploring fresh conflicts between humans and the Na’vi while delving deeper into humanity’s bond with nature.
Alongside the franchise’s hallmark of cutting-edge visual effects and technical brilliance, this time the film promises a special emotional depth through its music and message.
