Meghna Ceramic Industries, a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), has launched sanitaryware under the brand name “Fresh,” investing Tk 300 crore in a factory with capacity to produce 60,000 pieces per month, creating employment for more than 600 people.
The new product line, introduced under the tagline “Flawlessly Fresh,” features superior whiteness, enhanced gloss and higher glaze hardness for greater durability.
Fresh Sanitaryware initially enters the market with six pedestal basins, three water commodes and three squatting pans, said a press release on Saturday.
The products use quality glaze materials and modern production technology. Currently available in white, the range will be expanded with more colours and designs based on customer demand.
The official unveiling was held at Meghna Ceramic Industries Limited (MCIL) factory in Ashariachar, Narayanganj, with MGI Chairman Mostafa Kamal, Vice Chairman Beauty Akter, Directors Tahmina Mostafa, Tanjima Mostafa and Tanveer Mostafa, and MCIL Chief Operating Officer AKM Ziaul Islam in attendance.
Mostafa Kamal said the company has earned customer trust through its ceramic products and aims to establish Fresh Sanitaryware as a reliable brand by prioritising quality and uninterrupted supply.
Director Tanjima Mostafa said the construction materials market is evolving quickly and the company aims to offer more solutions for modern homes and buildings.
MCIL currently uses 100 per cent imported raw materials sourced from Thailand, Malaysia, Egypt, India, Germany and China. The company plans to add table-top basins and urinals in the future.
MGI’s building materials portfolio also includes cement, steel, bricks, blocks and construction stone.
