The Dhaka Metro Rail will remain closed on the day of Eid-ul-Adha, while services will run on a special schedule during the remaining Eid holidays.

The revised schedule was announced by according to Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) on Thursday in a notice signed by DMTCL Director (Public Relations) Ahsan Ullah Sharif.

During the Eid holiday period, the first train from Uttara North Station will depart at 6:30am, while the first train from Motijheel Station will leave at 7:15am.

The last train from Uttara North will depart at 9:30pm, and the final train from Motijheel will leave at 10:10pm.

The headway between trains will remain between 12 and 15 minutes. Around 140 trips will be operated daily using seven train sets. However, the number of trips may be increased or decreased depending on passenger demand.

The notice also said single-journey tickets can be purchased from 6:40am to 9:20pm. MRT and Rapid Pass top-up facilities will also remain available.

On Fridays, however, single-journey ticket sales will begin at 2:45pm from Uttara North Station and at 3:05pm from Motijheel Station.
