A man was killed after being hit by a train in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi.
The deceased, whose age is around 50 could not be identified yet.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Dilip Chandra Sarkar of the Narsingdi Railway Police Outpost confirmed the matter on Monday evening.
The incident took place around 6:40pm in Hatubhanga-Khanabari area. Dhaka-bound Jayantika Express, travelling from Sylhet, struck the man, who died on the spot from head injuries.
Upon receiving the information, the Narsingdi Railway Police recovered the body from the scene.
An autopsy report has been prepared and legal proceedings are currently underway as officials attempt to identify the deceased.
The body is currently being kept at the Narsingdi Railway Police Outpost.
