Police recovered the body of a man in Dhaka’s Bakshibazar area on Monday.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed, said Shahbagh Police Station’s Sub‑Inspector Mahmudul Hasan.
He said the body, aged around 65, was found on a footpath near the BUET playground at 11am.
After recovery, it was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
SI Mahmudul said the man was a homeless local from Bakshibazar. His feet showed signs of decay, and authorities believe he died from illness.
