BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has stated that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will participate in the upcoming election campaign if she remains in good health.
He made this statement while speaking to reporters at the BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan on Sunday.
Rizvi said, “Bulletproof vehicles are being purchased to ensure Begum Zia’s security. If she is in good health, she will take part in public engagement.”
He also expressed concern over the frequent fire incidents, stating that they are causing people to worry. He said, “It is necessary to investigate whether there is any plan of sabotage behind these incidents.”
Rizvi called for an inquiry into whether neighboring India had any role in these incidents. He said, “India and its allies do not want a stable situation in Bangladesh.”
He also raised concerns that fascists may exploit divisions among political parties over the July Charter to achieve their objectives.
The senior BNP leader also said, “If mobocracy replaces democracy, establishing democracy will be impossible. These incidents should be investigated to see if there is a conspiracy to derail the elections.”
He further called on all political parties to sign the July Charter voluntarily.
