Bollywood actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has declared that she identifies as Gen Alpha, days after criticising Gen Z protesters and calling them the “gutter generation”, reports Hindustan Times.
On Saturday, Kangana shared a reel on her Instagram Story featuring a young girl portraying a Gen Z influencer while promoting lettuce.
The reel’s caption read, “Gen Alpha roasting Gen Z is pure gold.”
Sharing it, Kangana wrote, “It is official I identify as Gen Alpha. Gen Alpha is like come to the point, no nonsense detected.”
She also shared a video of a child dressed as a soldier and wrote, “Gen Alpha is bleeding tricolour.”
Kangana had earlier criticised Gen Z protesters over their alleged conduct during protests linked to the NEET-UG paper leak.
In a series of social media posts, she objected to the language used against political leaders and described some protesters as the “gutter generation”.
She later appeared to soften her stance, calling Gen Z “the strength and assets of our country”.
On the work front, Kangana was last seen in Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, directed by Manoj Tapadia.
She is also set to make her Hollywood debut with the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil, alongside Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone. The film will be directed by Anurag Rudra.
