The Oath-taking ceremony of the Honorable Justice Syed Enayet Hossain, appointed as a permanent judge of the High Court, was held on Tuesday at 4:00 PM in the Honorable Chief Justice’s Chamber, according to a press statement.
The Chief Justice of Bangladesh, Honorable Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed, administered the oath.
The oath-taking ceremony was conducted by the Registrar General of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Muhammad Habibur Rahman Siddiqui.
Present at the oath-taking ceremony were the Honorable Justices of the Appellate Division, the attorney general of Bangladesh, the general secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association, the secretary of the Bar Council, and officials from the Supreme Court Registry.
On 11 November 2025, 22 Additional Judges of the High Court were appointed as permanent judges.
Following the president’s order, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued a notification appointing 22 additional judges of the High Court as permanent judges. Among the 22, the oath-taking ceremony for 21 was held on 12 November 2025, but one (Honorable Justice Syed Enayet Hossain) could not take the oath due to illness. His oath was completed on Tuesday.
