Janhvi Kapoor turned heads at her sister Anshula Kapoor’s wedding reception, but it was a small detail in her mehendi that caught fans’ attention.
According to Hindustan Times, the actor attended the reception in a Manish Malhotra silk saree paired with a strapless blouse. She later shared photographs from the celebrations on Instagram, where fans noticed that her mehendi featured the name “Shikhu” — boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya’s nickname — written in Hindi. The name blended seamlessly into the intricate yet minimal design, serving as a subtle tribute to him.
Janhvi has previously acknowledged her relationship with Shikhar through her fashion choices and social media posts.
The pair have reportedly known each other since their teenage years, with their friendship eventually developing into a romantic relationship. Reports first linked them in 2016. They were later said to have parted ways after Janhvi made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak in 2018.
During their reported separation, both kept their personal lives away from social media and avoided speaking publicly about their relationship. However, they were spotted together several times in 2023, including at parties, holidays, Anant Ambani’s wedding celebrations and temple visits, fuelling speculation that they had reunited. They have also frequently been seen visiting the Tirupati temple together.
