Janata Bank PLC hosted a discussion and prayer session at its head office on Wednesday, 3 June, marking the 45th martyrdom anniversary of President Ziaur Rahman. The programme was jointly organised by the Janata Bank Nationalist Employees’ Union, Zia Parishad–Janata Bank Central Committee, Nationalist Bankers’ Association Bangladesh–Janata Bank Central Committee, and Janata Bank Nationalist Officers’ Welfare Association Central Committee, organisers said.
Speeches were delivered by Board Chairman Muhammed Fazlur Rahman, Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director Kazi Abdur Rahman, President of the Nationalist Employees’ Union Md Rafiqul Islam, Convener of Zia Parishad Monirul Islam, President of the Nationalist Bankers’ Association Shah Jahan, and President of the Nationalist Officers’ Welfare Association Saiful Abedin Selim. The session was conducted by General Secretary of the Nationalist Bankers’ Association Md Ruhul Amin.
A special prayer was held at the end of the session seeking forgiveness for the soul of martyr President Ziaur Rahman. Executives, officers and staff of the bank’s head office attended the programme, the organisers said.
