James Gunn has announced that the first teaser trailer for ‘Supergirl’ will debut in the week of December 8, giving audiences an early look at Milly Alcock’s upcoming DC Universe film ahead of its 2026 release.
Alcock first appeared as Supergirl in 2025’s Superman, where Kara Zor-El arrived at the Fortress of Solitude to collect her dog Krypto, who will feature in her solo film. Supergirl finished principal photography in May 2025. Craig Gillespie directs from a script by Ana Nogueira, with the story adapted from Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’. King also contributed to the screen version.
Jason Momoa will make his DCU debut as Lobo. Speaking earlier this year, he said the role was one he had always wanted to play and hinted that the character’s look and iconic bike would be faithful to the comics.
Supergirl opens in cinemas on June 26, 2026.
