Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, along with seven other like-minded parties, has called an urgent press conference on various national issues.
The press conference will be held at the Abdus Salam Hall on the third floor of the National Press Club on Sunday at 4:30pm.
Hamidur Rahman Azad, assistant secretary general of Jamaat-e-Islami and coordinator of the eight-party alliance in motion, made the disclosure in a press release.
Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (JAGPA) President Rashed Pradhan told TIMES of Bangladesh that candidates for the seats where consensus has been reached may be announced at this press conference.
The eight political parties are Jamaat-e-Islami, National Citizen Party (NCP), Islami Andolan Bangladesh, led by Charmonai Pir; Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, led by Maulana Mamunul Haque; Khelafat Majlish, led by Abdul Basit Azad and Ahmad Abdul Quader; Gono Odhikar Parishad, Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party and Bangladesh Nezam-e-Islam Party.
