A student of Jagannath University (JnU) has been missing for the past two days, prompting his family and friends to launch a frantic search.
Mohammad Sirajul Islam, a student of the 20th batch of the Sociology Department, was last in contact with his family over the phone on Thursday (June 18). Since then, all communication has ceased.
Sirajul’s friend Maruf said he was not initially aware of the disappearance. “His mother called me yesterday and informed me. Since his last conversation with the family on Thursday night, no further contact has been possible,” he said.
Maruf added that he has also tried to reach his friend through various means but received no response.
Family members are now coming to Jagannath University to search for the missing student, Maruf said. He urged anyone with information to contact the family immediately.
