Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has launched a month-long customer service campaign as the bank seeks to reinforce customer confidence and improve service delivery across its nationwide network.
The ‘Customer Service Month’ campaign, launched under the slogan “Building the Future Bangladesh in the March of Welfare-Oriented Banking”, was inaugurated on Wednesday at Islami Bank Tower by Acting Managing Director Md Altaf Hossain. The programme was attended by senior executives and branch officials across the country through a virtual platform, the bank said in a press release.
Engr Mohammad Jamal Uddin Mazumder, Additional Managing Director, attended the programme as special guest, while Dr M Kamal Uddin Jasim, Additional Managing Director, presided over the event. Md Maznuzzaman, Executive Vice President, also addressed the gathering.
Deputy Managing Directors Md Mahboob Alam, Mahmudur Rahman, Md Rafiqul Islam, Muhammad Sayeed Ullah and Md Maksudur Rahman, along with senior executives from the head office, were present. Zonal heads, branch managers and sub-branch in-charges joined the programme virtually.
Addressing the event, Altaf Hossain said all branches, sub-branches, agent banking outlets and digital banking services of Islami Bank were operating normally.
He said remittance customers were receiving services without disruption and added that most customers who had previously closed their accounts and withdrawn funds had returned to the bank.
“Most of the customers who had previously closed their accounts and withdrawn their money have already come back, placing their trust in the bank. This is a clear reflection of their long-standing faith with us,” he said.
Altaf Hossain described Islami Bank as a strong, stable and resilient financial institution and urged employees to continue working with transparency, accountability, good governance and the highest standards of professionalism.
