Hoichoi’s Country Director Sakib R Khan has expressed optimism about the upcoming Eid season for Bangladeshi cinema, saying that collective success across films is essential for the growth of the industry.
Speaking at the trailer launch event of Bonolota Express in Dhaka on Thursday evening, he praised director Tanim Noor and the entire team behind the film for their dedication and hard work.
“Tanim Noor and the entire team have worked incredibly hard and our only wish is that audiences enjoy the movie,” Sakib R Khan said. “I hope everyone will go to the theatres, watch the film and stand by Bangladeshi cinema.”
He noted that several promising films are scheduled to release during Eid-ul-Fitr, which could make the festive period particularly vibrant for local cinema.
“From what I have seen, several good films are also coming out this Eid, so I believe it will be a very festive season for our industry,” he said.
Sakib also emphasised the importance of collective progress within the industry rather than the success of a few individuals.
“I wish success for the other films as well, because the industry grows only when everyone does well. It is not enough if one or two people succeed. The contribution of everyone is important for the industry to grow,” he added.
He further said that Bonolota Express will reach audiences both at home and abroad.
“The film will be released worldwide on April 3. We are releasing it in North America, Australia and Europe, especially in places where there are large Bangladeshi communities,” he said.
Bonolota Express, directed by Tanim Noor and produced by Buriganga Talkies, is slated for release in theatres during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holiday.
