Huawei has organised a campus recruitment programme at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Gazipur this week, offering full-time job opportunities for fresh graduates as system engineers.
Over 100 students from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) departments took part in the written test phase of the recruitment process, Huawei Bangladesh said in a press release on Wednesday.
The programme began with a presentation from Huawei South Asia Senior HR Specialist Fara Newas, followed by speeches from IUT CSE Department Professor Hasan Mahmud and Huawei South Asia Human Resources Director Lin Xiao.
The event was also attended by IUT CSE Department Head Professor Md Hasanul Kabir, CSE Junior Lecturer Md Tanvir Hossain Saikat, and EEE Junior Lecturer Liman Shams. The written test was coordinated by Huawei’s HR team.
Huawei South Asia Human Resources Director Lin Xiao said the programme has been instrumental in identifying top talents capable of growing within the organisation across different ICT fields. He said Huawei’s world-class work environment will enable them to reach their full potential and contribute to the company’s growth through innovation and enthusiasm.
IUT CSE Department Head Professor Md Hasanul Kabir thanked Huawei for continuing its campus recruitment drives. He said many IUT graduates have joined Huawei both in Bangladesh and abroad, taking on leading roles and building rewarding careers in the ICT industry.
Professor Hasanul Kabir said the university has been collaborating with Huawei for more than a decade, helping students develop skills and vision through various talent development initiatives. He said such partnerships are not just about securing jobs but also about contributing to the country’s ICT development.
The written test marked the first phase of the recruitment process, which will be followed by interviews and further assessments. Huawei conducts similar recruitment programmes every year at prominent universities across Bangladesh to hire fresh graduates for various roles.
