Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Wednesday claimed to have hit a Saudi military aircraft, a Eurofighter Typhoon, with an air-to-air missile over Yemen’s Saada governorate.
In a brief statement posted on X, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the warplane had taken off from Saudi Arabia’s Taif airbase and was directly struck, leaving it “at risk of crashing.”
The claim has not been independently verified, and no confirmation has yet been issued by Saudi authorities, reports Middle East Eye.
